What to Expect on My First Visit
Thank you for being our guest this Sunday
Visiting a church for the first time can be a little intimidating for most of us. Even though most churches will tell you to "come as you are," you never know quite what to expect when you walk through the door. At Gillionville, we hope you will find genuine people who are truly glad you've chosen to be our guest this Sunday. People tend to dress comfortably; for some of us that is dressing down, for others that means dressing up. You will hear music that spans genres and generations. You will hear a message grounded in Scripture and meant to help you follow Jesus more closely in the real world. Our sincerest hope is that when you choose to visit Gillionville you will feel at home. We hope to see you Sunday!
Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and Hospitality
Our coffee bar is located at the West Parking entrance to the Worship Center. We offer a selection of coffee, tea, and even hot chocolate for the kids. Announcements and upcoming events are playing on screens so you can learn more about what is happening in the life of our church while you enjoy your morning cup of Joe!
Your Children and Teenagers
If your children are ages birth through 5th grade, your first stop should be our Children’s Building. We offer a safe, secure, and fun environment for them to make new friends, enjoy activities, and—most importantly—learn about Jesus! Students in grades 6-12 meet in our Youth Building for Sunday morning small groups. Wednesday evening activities for our Children and Youth are held at 6:00pm. If it is your first time being our guest, please come a few minutes early to meet with one of our NextGen staff or volunteers and get a tour of our facilities. We love sharing all the great opportunities for discipleship available to our kids!
Assistance in Navigating the Facilities
Let our greeters help you find your way to a small group and help you find a seat for worship. We encourage our first time guests to enter the Worship Center through our East Parking entrance. There you will find our Connection Point and a member of our team can show you around our church campus. We even have a small gift to say THANK YOU for being our guest today!
At the end of the worship service, please head over to the Connect Point (labeled “FIRST TIME GUESTS”) located at the east entrance to the Worship Center where you will be able to meet our pastor.
